Second City at the Civic Opera House
This wasn’t a dinner or a game, but I wanted to post the pictures if anyone is interested. Michele Mahoney found out about this a few months ago – Second City comedians doing a show at the Civic Opera House. The show was geared towards opera – lots of “inside” opera jokes that sailed over many of our heads. Joe Spellman though was cracking up. Which was cracking us up. It was very cool – the seats were all on the stage. Maybe a couple hundred people at the most. They had waiters who brought drinks and food. Very cool. It was interesting to be on the stage and see what the actors see when they are up there. Here you go:
There is also this chalk body outline in the orchestra pit.
I have no idea what the story is behind this. I did a quick search online, but didn’t come up with anything. If anyone knows, pass it on!
